Juventus and AC Milan chasing Man City icon

Manchester City will aim to cut Arsenal’s lead at the top of the Premier League to three points by beating Everton on Monday night.

Pep Guardiola’s side currently sit six points behind the Gunners, but have two games-in-hand over the north London outfit.

City will be favourites to defeat the Toffees at The Hill Dickinson Stadium, but David Moyes’ side have impressed this season and could provide a tricky test for the Citizens.

Ahead of that game, it has emerged that one outgoing Man City star is attracting significant interest from Italy.

As per CaughtOffside, defender John Stones is on the radar of Serie A sides AC Milan and Juventus as he prepares to leave Manchester City this summer.

The England international announced last month that he will leave The Etihad when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign, bringing to an end a hugely successful decade-long spell at the club.

In total, the centre-back has played more than 290 times for City since joining the club from Everton back in 2016.

The Englishman has also won 18 trophies – including the Champions League in 2023 and six Premier League titles – and he will hope to add to that list before the end of the current campaign with a domestic treble still a possibility for Guardiola’s side.

It is claimed that the two Italian clubs have both identified Stones, 31, as a possible transfer target, viewing him as a player who would be suited to the tactical style of Serie A.

The defender, who will be available as a free agent, is also said to be a target for Bayern Munich, who are managed by Stones’ former teammate, Vincent Kompany.
