Cesc Fabregas is quietly putting together one of Europe’s most eye‑catching coaching CVs at Como – and it is no surprise that the Premier League is already sniffing around.

The Spaniard helped the Italian side rise from Serie B to Serie A, with his Como side now battling for Champions League qualification sitting in 5th place with three league games to go. For a coach still in the very early years of his managerial journey, his stock is climbing fast.

Now speaking in an interview with the Telegraph, Fabregas has kept the door open to managing in the Premier League in the future:

“The Premier League is the best league in the world,” Fabregas said to Telegraph Sport. “I’ve always been very, very clear about it. I felt it as a player, I feel it as a coach, as a fan. But [Jose] Mourinho told me one day when I was at Chelsea: ‘I still have 30 years to work.’ So I could be here [Como] for 10 years, and you can still go to the Premier League in 12, 15 years.

“Football is so unpredictable, it changes in one second. One day, you are the best. The day after, you are the worst. So let’s enjoy the moment. I like to enjoy the moment. It’s beautiful what we are living here. Let’s see what the future holds.”

Naturally, that sort of talk immediately leads to speculation about where he might end up. Chelsea and Arsenal are the obvious names, given that he spent his peak years at both clubs and is already being tipped in some quarters as a future option for either dugout.

Reports in England have suggested that he would lean towards Arsenal if he ever had to choose, while Chelsea have been repeatedly linked as a club that could try to tempt him back to Stamford Bridge.

But for Liverpool, he no doubt would also be an interesting option should he ever become available. Back in 2024, he made it clear that he adores the passion of the Liverpool fanbase, saying:

“One fanbase I would’ve liked to experience being a player for is the Liverpool fans in a cup game or in the semi-final of a Champions League game at Anfield.”

“Why not, once, I would have liked to experience it.”

While he’s not likely to be linked to Anfield anytime soon, it seems that Fabregas is one to watch for the future.
