The star was key in Totttenham’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa.
Tottenham have had an attacking problem all season with goals hard to come by at Hotspur Way. Many Lilywhites supporters see this as a probable creative problem given how this current side has lacked an attacking midfielder who can pull off those high-scoring chance passes.
But there is also a group of supporters who look at this as more of a striking problem, with the fans calling for the club to bring in a new striker at N17 when the summer transfer window comes around.
While this has raised a lot of pressure on Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani, there is a striker who is making the most out of his minutes upfront in Richarlison.
Richy has been linked with a move away from Tottenham in the off-season, with many seeing his time at N17 as already closed curtains, but then he is also replicating the performances that he used to put in when he was still at Everton, exactly the ones that made Tottenham splash £60m on his signing.
And he showed a lot of that in Tottenham’s win over Aston Villa yesterday, where his contribution was ideally more than those goals; he was nothing short of a nuisance for the Villans’ defence. It looked like he was playing with that edge again, bringing that raw Brazilian confrontational style with him that makes opponents feel uncomfortable.
Impressive numbers come up for Spurs #9
In a recent tweet from Stat Muse, they compared how the 10 goals and 4 assists (14 GA) from Richy are already greater than the 13 GA that Mohammed Salah and Ollie Watkins have put in the Premier League this season. These numbers show how the performances that Richarlison has been putting in have been going under the radar at N17.
G/A this PL season:

13 — Mo Salah

It is not easy to match or beat those two aforementioned figures in the Premier League, and then doing so in a chaotic structure shows so much more about what Richy is as a player.
Richarlison future at Tottenham still doubtful
The Brazilian international has been linked with a Tottenham exit when the summer comes around, and that is something Tottenham could possibly look into once again given how his scraping through games has handed the Lilywhites many valuable points.
But then another viewpoint is that this could also be a summer where Tottenham can reap most of the money of that £60m that they paid for him all those years back.
