Sky Sports has reported that Juventus have now made Alisson Becker their top target for the summer transfer window.
Mohamed Salah confirmed his departure in March, bringing to an end one of the most celebrated individual careers in Liverpool’s modern history. Andy Robertson is also set to move on when the curtain falls on the current campaign. For a fanbase already bracing for emotional goodbyes, the thought of also losing Alisson in the same window is too much to bear.
Italian journalist Matteo Moretto reported toward the end of April that there is already a “basic verbal understanding” between Alisson and Juventus, with the 33-year-old said to be “clearly opening the door” to a move to Turin. It was further backed up by Fabrizio Romano.
Despite signing a one-year contract until 2027, there remains a distinct possibility that Alisson could depart to Juventus, with Sky Sports reporting:
“Juventus have made Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson a top target this summer.”
“Sky Sports News understands the Italian club will devote significant resources and time into trying to sign the Brazilian before next season. Liverpool are thought to be aware of the situation and have been doing due diligence on potential goalkeeper replacements should Alisson ultimately leave.”
Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti previously worked alongside Alisson during their Roma days, and he has made signing a new goalkeeper a top summer priority — having not been fully convinced by incumbent Michele Di Gregorio.
A “2+1” deal — two guaranteed years with an option for a third — is reportedly being offered to the Brazilian. Liverpool will be aware that they risk losing him for nothing twelve months later if he’s not sold this summer.
Arne Slot, for his part, remains publicly unfazed, insisting Alisson is focused solely on his return from injury. With Mamardashvili quietly staking his claim as first choice, the door for Alisson’s exit may already be swinging open.
