Tottenham earned back-to-back wins for the first time since August 2025.
Tottenham have endured a difficult season at Hotspur Way, and that shows in the fact that the Lilywhites are fighting relegation going into the final stretch of the campaign.
But despite the struggles to gather points, Tottenham still look solid in one stat of the season where only Arsenal and Manchester City are better than them along the match weeks of 2025/26.
Tottenham are a version of themselves fading, but that could be a positive thing as well…
For years, we have seen Tottenham going away from home and going into those games with a bit of what is now a familiar tension. Things look fragile, and the team looks inconsistent; you could sense that the control could slip any time in those games.
But now it looks like that version of Tottenham is fading as the North Londoners find a new sense of belief even in maybe the toughest season they have endured in modern history.
This season, Tottenham’s away record is not just solid, but it is one of the strongest in the English top tier. Only Arsenal and Manchester City have picked up more points on the road than Spurs.
According to numbers put out by the Premier League’s official account, Spurs have picked up 26 points on the road this season, which is the third most in the league, with league leaders Arsenal standing at 32 and Manchester City at 31. This shows how strong Tottenham have looked going on the road.

Generally, when you win on the road consistently, it is not just about tactics, but it is also psychological. Going to opposition ground and showing that resilience, clarity and willingness are a must given that there will be uncomfortable moments where you’re going to suffer. And Tottenham have been showing all three, with the most recent example being the away wins at Wolves and Aston Villa.
Both the games required Tottenham to put in a blend of all three to churn out a result and three points.
Strong Tottenham away form raises home questions
But given that Tottenham only have 37 points on the Premier League table, it raises a question about home form. Most of Tottenham’s supporters have been left frustrated with the team’s performances at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season, and that shows as the Lilywhites have only accumulated nine points at N17 all season.
This raises uncomfortable questions. What do you think might be the reason for a poor home form but a strong away one? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
