
Manchester United Under-21s striker Chido Obi celebrates his goal at Crystal Palace
Manchester United and Manchester City will now face two huge derbies at Academy level after the Reds beat Crystal Palace to set up a trip to the Blues in the [Premier League](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/all-about/premier-league) 2 semi-finals.
City booked their place on Friday night with a victory at Aston Villa. Mamad Sangare, Floyd Samba and Kaden Braithwaite were on target for the Blues as they twice came from behind to win 3-2.
United's semi-final clash took place on Monday night at the home of Sutton United and the visitors claimed a 2-0 victory. Daniel Armer put the Reds in front in the first half and Chido Obi made sure of the win in the closing quarter.
United finished second in the regular season table, three points and one place above City. The Reds won the league meeting between the teams 2-1.
The semi-final derby will take place at the Joie Stadium but a date, kick off time and ticket details are yet to be confirmed. The other last four clash will see Tottenham play the winners of Brighton's tie with West Ham.
City and United will also meet in the FA Youth Cup final for the first time in 40 years. A date and venue for that clash, which will be hosted by City, has yet to be confirmed.
