The Premier League title race has taken another twist with Everton and Manchester City playing out a pulsating 3-3 draw on Tuesday AEST that hands the title race advantage back to Arsenal.

The result means Arsenal now have a five point lead at the top of the table following their 3-0 win over Fulham on the weekend, with City having a game in hand.

Pep Guardiola’s side opened the scoring through Jeremy Doku, but  a brace from Thierno Barry and a goal from Jake O’Brien put Everton 3-1 up, before Erling Haaland set up a thrilling, gripping finale with seven minutes to go.

It looked like it was going to be a major boost for Arsenal but with almost the last kick of the game, Doku cut in from the left and curled a magnificent strike home.

“I thought if Manchester City were out of the title race, I think that goal retained a pulse – Arsenal know now win all three games…it sounds easy. If they draw, City are back in it,” Michael Owen said on the Premier League Productions world feed.

“That goal could prove to be massive, but certainly it is advantage Arsenal.”

Arsenal face West Ham (a), Burnley (h) and Crystal Palace (a) while Manchester City face Brentford (h), Crystal Palace (h), Bournemouth (a), and Aston Villa (h).

David Moyes’ first win ever over Pep Guardiola reignites the Toffees’ hopes of a top six finish.

More to come…
