The England youth international captained City in our 4-4 Under-18 Premier League North draw with Stoke on Tuesday afternoon.

It was a game that saw a handful of Oliver Reiss’ side get their first league start in 2025/26.

And for Miles, it was key game time for all of the squad, with every player needing to be ready for our FA Youth Cup final against Manchester United and Under-18 Premier League National Final match-up with Chelsea.

“I think especially in the first half we played well. I think we connected well, we trusted each other and that resulted in our two goals,” said Miles.

“Good moments from people staying alive in the box.

“Especially for some of the lads that might not have played a lot this season, I think they’ve done well.

“I think with the final coming, everyone has to be ready because you never know what can happen.

“Someone might get injured and then someone who doesn’t have as many minutes might have to play.

“So, I think it’s about everyone being ready for those games and I think the momentum [from North title win] is definitely carrying on, lads ticking over in training so we’ll be ready.”
