Everton could now see a £22m bid accepted to sign Enzo Boyomo from Osasuna this summer after the defender impressed against Barcelona.
Everton could see £22m offer accepted for Boyomo
Even though their season could end without European football, Everton's ambition is unlikely to change. The Friedkin Group splashed the cash on the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Thierno Barry last summer, and are likely to back David Moyes with further additions this summer.
On that front, the Toffees have already been linked with moves for the likes of John Stones and a permanent move for Jack Grealish following his loan spell this season. Both would be excellent signings from Manchester City, signalling Everton's intent.
Improving Moyes' backline very much seems to be the priority for Friedkin this summer too, as it's not just Stones who has been linked with a move.
According to reports in Spain, relayed by Sport Witness, Everton could see a £22m bid accepted to sign Boyomo from Osasuna this summer.

The La Liga star recently shone against Barcelona, as Spanish reporter Matte Moretto pointed out, and now finds himself on the radar of several clubs.
With a release clause worth €25m (£22m), there's a clear route for Everton to take towards his signature if they turn their interest into an offer this summer.
League stats P90 25/26 Enzo Boyomo James Tarkowski
Minutes 2,185 3,060
Tackles 2.18 1.26
Recoveries 4.74 2.35
Duel success 54.9% 68.5%
Pass accuracy 85.5% 80.8%
Although James Tarkowski very much takes the role of defensive leader at Everton, it's clear that Boyomo would be an impressive successor for the 33-year-old.
Moyes "amazed" by refereeing call against Man City
A lot of focus is placed on the teachings of Pep Guardiola in Mikel Arteta's Arsenal side, but the Spaniard's first tutor was David Moyes and the Everton boss did him one last favour on Monday night. Although Jeremy Doku's stunning equaliser salvaged a point for Man City, it wasn't enough to prevent the title from shifting into the Gunners' hands.
Moyes, however, wanted more than just a point and was "amazed" that his side didn't receive a penalty, telling reporters: "I’ve seen it, I’ve had a look. If that doesn’t get given as a penalty then it’s an absolute free-for-all from now on.
"I might have to start coaching my defenders how to defend differently completely. It looks like now you’re able to sort of grapple and wrestle on the ground if you want.
"I’m absolutely amazed and look, this on the back of a terrible decision at West Ham when we don’t get a penalty there either. That’s not the reason why we didn’t get the result, but I think it’s another pointer just to say that I find it really hard that that wasn’t given."
