Liverpool now in the race to sign one of the world's"best teenage goalscorers"in£100m+ move

Liverpool are among the top Premier League clubs battling to sign Bournemouth attacker Eli Junior Kroupi, according to a new transfer report.

New attackers are a must for the Reds when the summer transfer window opens, following so many problems there during the 2025/26 season.

Mohamed Salah’s form has completely deserted him, and Cody Gakpo has struggled to hit previous heights, while big-money signings Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike have both suffered serious injuries.

An injection of youth and quality is a must heading into next season, and according to a new claim from INews, Liverpool are “keen” on snapping up Kroupi from Bournemouth.

That said, the Cherries are holding firm for now and don’t want to even consider selling him until next year, when he will be valued at “£100m plus”. It remains to be seen if their stance changes, as the Reds, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United all eye him up.

Junior Kroupi a special player who could excel at Liverpool

Kroupi is an enormous talent who has been one of the standout young players in the Premier League this season, scoring 12 goals in just 18 starts.

At just 19 years of age, the Frenchman has taken no time to adjust to the pace and power of English football, with Joe Partington hailing his brilliance in front of goal.

“[It’s a] real huge benefit for the football club, I know that we’ve lost players over the last few years and may continue to do so in the future. That’s just the nature of the beast, I suppose, but at the moment, in Junior Kroupi, we’ve got one of Europe’s, which by extension is probably the world’s, best teenage goalscorers.”

For now, it looks like Liverpool will have to wait until the end of next season to try and sign Kroupi, at which point there is likely to be an expensive auction for his signature.

Showing patience and waiting until then isn’t the end of the world – a few more attackers are essential this summer, though – but if they managed to turn Bournemouth’s head in the coming months instead, it would be ideal.
