Liverpool may have been handed yet another major injury problem ahead of Saturday’s clash with Chelsea, with Ibrahima Konate missing from training on Wednesday.
The Reds are continuing their preparations for the visit of the Blues this weekend as they look to wrap up Champions League qualification over the remaining three games of the season. Chelsea itself is now out of the running for the Premier League’s top five, with just Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton now able to catch Liverpool and Aston Villa.
Arne Slot will be hoping his side can bounce back quickly following defeat at Manchester United, although he isn’t helped by an injury list which may have just grown longer.

Sky Sports’ cameras were present at the AXA Training Centre on Wednesday to capture Liverpool’s latest training session, although there was no sign of Konate, raising concerns over his fitness ahead of the weekend.
The Reds are already light on options at the back, with Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni out until next season, and losing another big name would hinder preparations for another big game at the weekend.
Alisson Becker was also absent once again, with the goalkeeper still a major doubt for Saturday’s game. With Giorgi Mamardashvili also out injured, Freddie Woodman could once again be called upon to deputize.

There was no sign of Alexander Isak either, with the striker having missed Sunday’s game at Old Trafford, although Arne Slot had talked up his chances of making a swift return.
“Very unlucky and unhappy with the fact Alex picked up a small – really small – injury,” Slot explained. “That's why this game came a bit too early."
Elsewhere, Mohamed Salah remains out of action. Although the Egyptian is expected to make a return before he departs the club at the end of the season, the Chelsea game will come too soon for him.

Liverpool.com says: At what point do we start to worry about that Champions League place? Liverpool should still secure a top-five finish, given the position it is in at the moment, but with these injuries piling up, you can't help but feel a little concerned.
Fingers crossed Konate isn't going to be added to the list of absentees this weekend. He may well just be having his workload managed ahead of the weekend, but not seeing him in training when the fixture list is becoming a little more forgiving now is worrying, especially given his history with injuries.
As for Alisson and Isak, fingers crossed they can make a return to training before the weekend, but at this stage, their chances of facing Chelsea don't look promising.
