Erling Haaland’s agent Rafaela Pimenta has admitted that Manchester City are the hardest club to negotiate with when it comes to transfers.
ESPN Netherlands have an interview with the Brazilian agent today in which she discusses all things transfers, and Erling Haaland.
Manchester City difficulties
Pimenta is one of the biggest agents in the football business, representing clients such as Erling Haaland and Arne Slot.
She previously worked for Mino Raiola and then took on a portion of his previous clientele following his death a few years ago. One of those is Haaland.
He’s obviously one of the biggest stars in world football, and the biggest name in her list of 31 clients at this moment in time.
Haaland, last year, signed a new nine and a half-year contract at the Etihad to keep him until the summer 2034. That saw him up his contract to around £400,000 per week, the biggest earner at the Etihad by some distance.
Negotiations for that deal were not easy, though, as Pimenta explained. In fact, she says Manchester City are ‘the most difficult club’ to talk with.
“Because they are very serious, very organised,” he said.
“They are very big. They know what they are doing, have a lot of experience, they actually need nothing, they have everything. So, we have no room for negotiation.”

It seems she has better things to say about her client, though. While Erling Haaland may be a huge, superstar at this moment in time, he does not have the usual superstar attitude.
“His demeanour is very informal; he is very pleasant to deal with, very relaxed and modest,” he added.
“He doesn’t like to be in the spotlight; he doesn’t like nonsense; he likes to focus on what really matters: football. To him, football is the most serious game you can play.”
