Liverpool has been tipped to make a move for Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick, who is currently on loan at Lyon in France, with the forward behind Kylian Mbappe in the pecking order at his parent club.

Signed for a fee of around $71 million (£52 million) when he was just 16 — remaining in Brazil for two years after that — Endrick is now 19. In January, he moved to Ligue 1 in search of game time. He had featured just three times under Xabi Alonso, with the Lyon switch agreed a couple of weeks before the Spaniard was fired.

Come the summer, though, Endrick will return to Real Madrid. He may then impress for Carlo Ancelotti at the World Cup, but will need to decide on his next move.

"Endrick is like a younger Vinicius," former French international Florent Malouda told Snabbare.

"Real Madrid want him to reach his top potential and they believe in him. For this, he needs to build his confidence, which is why he went to Lyon to get game time at a good level.

"He can then come back to be able to compete because eventually, top talent will always need to compete and prove their value at the highest stage.

"Real Madrid is the highest stage; there's no bigger club in the world.

"I think he has a challenge with Kylian Mbappe because as long as Mbappe is playing up front, it will be difficult for him to compete for this position.

"So, for me, he might need another loan in a more challenging league, and maybe the Premier League could be an option.

"A move to a club like Chelsea? I think it might go somewhere else because it doesn't really fit Chelsea's style of playing.

"I would see him most probably at a club like Arsenal or Liverpool, most probably Liverpool, where he can have a more direct style of playing. He could be a star there."

Liverpool.com says: On a permanent basis, signing Endrick could make sense. On loan, though? Why would the Reds be interested in helping to develop a player for a European rival?

There is no suggestion that Real Madrid would be willing to cash in on Endrick. His loan to Lyon has proven fruitful, where he has played in every league fixture he has been eligible for, aside from one game where he was suspended.
