Gabriel Sara has previously played for Norwich City.
The midfielder is expected to leave Galatasaray this summer.
Sara earned his maiden Brazil national team call-up in March.
Everton’s summer midfield planning appears to include a Brazilian target. According to Turkish journalist Ali Naci Kucuk, via 343, Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara is likely to leave the club in the upcoming transfer window. The Toffees are named among the interested parties, alongside Aston Villa and Tottenham.
Arsenal'in Sara için…

Kucuk said, “I think Gabriel Sara could be transferring. Aston Villa, Everton, and Tottenham from the Premier League have clear interest in the player. If Gabriel Sara also makes the World Cup squad, the club would profit from this too. Arsenal has no initiative for Sara.”
Gabriel Sara comes with a lot of potential
Gabriel Sara is no stranger to English football. He had a standout spell at Norwich City, where he was named Player of the Year in 2022‑23 and included in the EFL Team of the Season in 2024. That season, he contributed 26 goals across all competitions in the Championship before leaving for Galatasaray.
This season in the Turkish Super Lig, Sara has made 27 appearances with 21 starts, playing 1,840 minutes. He has scored five goals and provided four assists. He and has created nine big chances. His passing accuracy stands at 87%, with 85% accuracy in the opposition half.
In March, Gabriel Sara earned his first senior cap for Brazil, a significant milestone that could further raise his profile and price. Several sides wanting the move will drive up his price for sure, especially if he is selected for the World Cup squad.
Why would Gabriel Sara fit at Everton?
David Moyes is expected to refresh his midfield. Idrissa Gana Gueye is 36 and uncertain to stay, while Merlin Rohl has yet to establish himself. Although he had a brilliant game against Manchester City, he showed signs of his potential. James Garner has been excellent, but a creative, box‑to‑box midfielder assisting him in the midfield would add a new dimension to Everton’s midfield.
Sara’s numbers in Turkey show a decent goal threat. He has shown he can handle the physical demands of English football from his time at Norwich. At just 26, he is entering his prime.
Competition from Aston Villa and Tottenham will be fierce, but Everton can offer a clear pathway to regular minutes, especially if they secure European football. The player is expected to leave and with Galatasaray expecting a fee, the summer window could see a bidding war among the interested clubs. If Sara makes Brazil’s World Cup squad, expect his price to rise further.
