New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel had to miss time during the NFL Draft because of personal issues he is dealing with. One of the major issues he has been dealing with lately is his affair with former NFL reporter Dianna Russini. She resigned from the Athletic last month.

There are people who believe that Russini had his children on the internet. Well, Vrabel is still the head coach of New England for now. Will things change as time goes on before the start of the 2026 NFL season, or no?
NFL Analyst Questions Whether or Not New England Patriots Head Coach Mike Vrabel Will Be Able to Coach Team Full-Time

There is usually one major question with each NFL team after the 2026 NFL Draft. After going 14-3 and reaching the Super Bowl a season ago, many are wondering if Vrabel is still going to coach this team this season. Chad Graff of the Athletic said about him potentially not being focused with the task at hand this season,
“On paper, the Patriots are a better team today than when they walked off the field in the Super Bowl. And that’s before factoring in a likely trade with the Eagles for A.J. Brown. But the roster still has a few question marks, and the schedule is daunting, so it won’t be a surprise if they end up with a worse record. There’s also the question of whether Mike Vrabel will be around the team in a full-time capacity after hestepped away from Day 3 of the draft. But if the Patriots acquire Brown without giving up a first-round pick, this will feel like a home run of an offseason.”
It appears as if Vrabel may not have plans to stop coaching anytime soon even with his off the field issues with his family and Russini as well. With this team having a tougher schedule this season, the Patriots will take a step back. Many fans will blame the step back potentially with his off the field issues.
