The Seattle Seahawks are a football organization that want to become a winning factory every single year. Seattle has had a lot of success in its first two seasons under head coach Mike MacDonald. The Seahawks had a 10-7 record in 2024 but missed the playoffs based off of tiebreakers. A season ago, Seattle won the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots. It was Seattle’s second Super Bowl title in franchise history.

They finished with a 14-3 record in the regular season and were also the number one seed in the NFC. Sam Darnold was the quarterback to lead them to a title. Super Bowl MVP running back Kenneth Walker was not re-signed in free agency. He signed a new four-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. Because of this, Seattle selected running back Jadarian Price from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish with the 32nd overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Some people think that having Price in the backfield is going to benefit this football team here.

Michael-Shawn Dugger of the Athletic wrote about how the Seahawks look after the 2026 NFL Draft. Many thought that Seattle might be in trouble after losing Walker and other key defensive players in free agency. However, adding Price and making other additions in the 2026 NFL Draft is going to prove large for general manager John Schneider once again moving forward. Dugger said,
“The Seahawks entered the draft with one of the best rosters in the league. The Jadarian Price pick alone made the team better and addressed the only real hole on the roster. Once they acquired a starting running back with their first pick, everything else became about adding depth at spots where they lost players in free agency or have players on expiring contracts. They were able to do that everywhere but edge rusher and center, despite entering the draft with only four picks. Not bad.”
Price can very well be the Week 1 starting running back for Seattle next season. One of the biggest questions about this offense will be how will the departure of offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak to the Las Vegas Raiders affect this football team? Hopefully, Seattle is back in the playoffs next season and talked about as one of the top teams to potentially win the Super Bowl once again also.
