Mohamed Salah is leaving Liverpool this summer and that is the main issue that the Reds will have to address in the transfer market.

At times this season, Arne Slot has been short of options at center-back, but Jeremy Jacquet is coming in from Rennes. In midfield, additions might hinge on who departs amid speculation surrounding Curtis Jones, in particular. At left-back, Kostas Tsimikas could be the replacement for Andy Robertson.

The one certainty is that Liverpool will need more options out wide. With Salah leaving, someone younger, faster, and with an eye for goal will need to come in. But who?

Jarrod Bowen (West Ham)

According to talkSPORT, Jarrod Bowen would be willing to do a year in the Championship with West Ham if it gets relegated, but a move somewhere else in the Premier League should not be ruled out.

Liverpool signing a 29-year-old is not the norm, but there is a Xherdan Shaqiri-shaped argument for making it happen. For a small enough fee and reasonable enough wages, he is a proven England international.

Bowen would add more pace and dynamism to lots of teams around the Premier League. Liverpool is one, though the likes of Newcastle, Everton and maybe even Brighton, Bournemouth or Brentford should also be keen — and able to offer guaranteed starts.

Yan Diomande (RB Leipzig)

Perhaps the most obvious selection, Yan Diomande has been a revelation in the Bundesliga this season. He is fast, he scores and creates, and he can play off either flank with supreme dribbling skills.

It has been widely reported that Liverpool is among the clubs to admire Diomande, who would cost around $117 million (£85 million) to snap up from RB Leipzig, who is under no pressure to sell.

Leipzig wants to keep Diomande for another 12 months, though he will leave sooner rather than later. PSG and Real Madrid have also been put forward as potential landing spots, but he ticks a lot of Liverpool boxes.

Bradley Barcola (PSG)

This week, The Times reported that Bradley Barcola was "likely" to be on Liverpool's list of options to strengthen in wide areas, with a clear need to add more quality in the final third and replace Salah.

Barcola might be open to a new challenge, given that he is in competition with Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele for a spot in the team at PSG. Liverpool would offer the chance to play every game.

At the age of 23, Barcola should only get even better than he is now, and he is already an established Champions League player with plenty of experience at the top level.

Goals and assists are the metric that matter in the final third. Liverpool is in desperate need of more speed too — and plenty of contenders will be under consideration.
