The Club captain was joined by all of her team-mates and the coaching staff at the City Football Academy to watch as Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Brighton confirmed our maiden league triumph since 2016.

And so as all involved began to celebrate, we spoke to the captain on another momentous achievement in her sparkling career.

The England international has led City in an exemplary manner since taking the captain’s armband in 2024 following the retirement of Steph Houghton and now follows in her great friend’s footsteps by guiding City to the title.

This season she’s been part of an excellent side that’s managed 17 victories from 21 games, including a 13-match winning run from September to February.

We’ll now face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final this weekend before completing the league campaign at West Ham next Saturday.
