Jeglertz, the players and backroom staff were all at the City Football Academy to watch as Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Brighton confirmed our maiden league triumph since 2016.

With 52 points from our 21 games thus far, that result at the Broadfield Stadium meant no side could catch Jeglertz’s team at the top of the table.

And so as all involved began to celebrate, we spoke to the boss who behind it all to gauge his immediate thoughts.

The Swede has become just the second manager in the WSL’s history to win the trophy in their first season having arrived in Manchester just last summer.

He’s overseen a remarkable first campaign that’s comprised of 17 victories from 21 games, including a 13-match winning run from September to February.

Indeed, the Blues have successfully maintained a 100% record at the Joie and Etihad Stadium this season, grabbing 38 goals and conceding just eight in the process.

We’ll now face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final this weekend before completing the league campaign at West Ham next Saturday.
