Liverpool have been urged to turn Brazilian teenager Endrick into a star and pick him up on loan from Real Madrid for next season.
Endrick, 19, joined Ligue 1 side Lyon on loan from the Spanish giants in January, and has managed an impressive eight goals in 19 appearances for the French club.
Lyon are keen to keep him for next season, but the forward - who has scored three goals in 15 senior appearances for Brazil, including netting against England in March 2024 when he became the youngest player to score a Wembley goal for club or country - has also been linked with a host of sides across Europe.
The former Lyon winger Florent Malouda, who found fame in the Premier League with Chelsea and won 80 caps for France, has been impressed with what he's seen, and says if Lyon aren't to keep Endrick next season then Liverpool would be the perfect place for him.
"Endrick is like a younger Vinicius, Real Madrid want him to reach his top potential and they believe in him. For this, he needs to build his confidence, which is why he went to Lyon to get game time at a good level," said Malouda.
"He can then come back to be able to compete because eventually, top talent will always need to compete and prove their value at the highest stage, and Madrid is the highest stage, there's no bigger club in the world.
"I think he has a challenge with Kylian Mbappe because as long as Mbappe is playing up front, it will be difficult for him to compete for this position.
"So, for me, he might need another loan in a more challenging league, and maybe the Premier League could be an option.
"A move to a club like Chelsea? I think it might go somewhere else because it doesn't really fit Chelsea's style of playing. I would see him most probably at a club like Arsenal or Liverpool, most probably Liverpool, where he can have a more direct style of playing. He could be a star there."
But while Malouda feels the Reds should move for Endrick in the summer, he is less enthusiastic of their chances of signing Bayern Munich's Michael Olise, and instead feels that any Liverpool replacement for Mohamed Salah will come from within.
"Michael Olise to replace Mohamed Salah? He is happy at Bayern. I think they also have talent to develop. They have Hugo Ekitike and Alexander Isak, they can find a solution internally," continued Malouda, who was speaking to Snabbare.
"They need to work with the players they have before bringing more players because it might lead to more issues. You bring good players, and when they arrive in the environment, they're not performing.
"I think that's the question Liverpool need to address before bringing top talent."
