The agent of Arne Slot has declared the deal that took the Dutch boss from Feyenoord to Liverpool as 'one of the most impactful moments in my career'.
Rafaela Pimenta oversaw the negotiations that resulted in Slot arriving at Anfield in May 2024 to replace the departed Jurgen Klopp.
Pimenta, whose client list includes Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland, has played her part in some big deals, firstly when she worked for the late Mino Raiola.
But the Brazilian regards the one that saw Slot become the Reds' new head coach two years ago as the most satisfying.
Pimenta, speaking in an exclusive interview with ESPN, said: "It was truly incredible. Imagine: I grew up in Brazil, where I followed Liverpool from a distance, in that season when you thought: wow, look at Liverpool!
"And suddenly you are sitting there negotiating the manager's contract. I think it was one of the most impactful moments in my career, yes."
The Reds' decision to appoint Slot paid off handsomely in his debut campaign in charge as he led the club to its 20th top-flight title.
But his second season at the defending Premier League champions has proved far more problematic and, while Liverpool look set to finish in the top five and secure Champions League football, Sunday's painful 3-2 loss at Manchester United was their 19th defeat in all competitions.
And even though owners FSG are backing Slot, sections of the fan base are reluctantly questioning whether he remains the man to take the team forward.
The 47-year-old has one year remaining on his Liverpool contract and has in recent weeks been linked with a return to the Netherlands with Ajax.
In the interview, Pimenta did not address that speculation but did indicate that Liverpool and Ajax will have many changes next season.
But there could be a bigger change at the Reds' Premier League rivals Man City should manager Pep Guardiola decide to leave.
And Pimenta says that City, who are being tipped to replace Guardiola with Enzo Mareca should the Spaniard depart, are the most difficult club she has dealt with.
"Because they are very serious, very organized," she said. "They are very big. They know what they are doing, have a lot of experience, they actually need nothing, they have everything. So we have no room for negotiation."
Liverpool return to Premier League action on Saturday when they host Chelsea (12.30pm kick-off).
