Celtic and Rangers have been put on red alert over Bobby Clark again.

The 21-year-old is expected to leave Red Bull Salzburg this summer. Red Bull signed him for around £10 million from Liverpool in 2024.

They are expected to agree an initial cut-price sale with significant future add-ons to help recoup their initial investment.

The Glasgow giants have been consistently linked with Clark in recent years.

Clark’s availability has been flagged up again and there has been an initial interest from both sides.

He is also gaining attention from the German Bundesliga from Borussia Monchengladbach and Stuttgart, while there is also strong in England.

Clark has had a successful loan at Derby County this season.

The England under-21 international was shortlisted for the English Football League’s young player of the year.

He helped push the Rams to the verge of the Premiership play-offs before they missed out on the final day.

Clark - the son of Rotherham boss Lee - came through the Anfield ranks.

He helped Liverpool win the Carabao Cup in 2024 and also played in Europe.

Clark also only left Liverpool to work with Jurgen Klopp’s assistant manager Pep Lijnders.

He lasted only a few month at Red Bull before he was sacked and moved to work with Manchester City at Pep Guardiola.

Celtic are in the process of looking at options for several positions, ahead of appointing a new manager in the summer.

Leonard is on-loan from Birmingham City for the season and is looking to lead Hearts to their first title in 66 years.

Rangers are also looking to strengthen to help Danny Rohl’s side to make them more clinical.
