All the latest Fantasy Premier League injury updates ahead of the Gameweek 36 deadline.

Fantasy Premier League players are on the home straight now – there are just three rounds of fixtures left until the curtain comes down on the campaign, and mini-league bragging rights are at stake. So to help out, we’re here with our regular run-down of all the latest FPL injury news ahead of Gameweek 36.

Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak, Morgan Gibbs-White and Jurriën Timber are among the big names who are carrying knocks and scrapes into the weekend, and we’ve got updates on their chances of playing below, along with plenty of other FPL-relevant players. We’ll be providing an update on Friday after the managers’ pre-match press conferences, of course, but here’s what we know for now…

Salah, Gibbs-White & Timber among FPL injury doubts for Gameweek 36

Mohamed Salah: Liverpool confirmed last week that the hamstring injury that Salah suffered against Crystal Palace wouldn’t end his season, as was first feared, but he probably won’t be involved against Chelsea on Saturday afternoon – he’s back in the gym but doesn’t seem to have re-joined full team training as yet. Next week is more realistic.

Alexander Isak & Alisson: Salah isn’t Liverpool’s only big injury doubt. Isak missed the 3-2 defeat to Manchester United due to a groin strain described by Arne Slot as “really small” and will be a candidate for a late fitness test, as will goalkeeper Alisson. Slot has said that Liverpool are “hoping” to have him back after an undisclosed muscular problem, but it’s far from certain. Both are doubts but have a chance to play.

Morgan Gibbs-White: Nottingham Forest’s fine form has been propelled by Gibbs-White’s hot streak, and they’ll be praying he’s back in time for the Europa League semi-final second leg against Aston Villa on Thursday evening after suffering a nasty cut to the face against Chelsea which required stitches.

Vitor Pereira has told us that he’s touch and go, and that will likely apply to the weekend, too – there’s also a very reasonable chance that he forces himself to play on Thursday and then gets rested for the weekend to heal up. We’ll know more before Saturday’s deadline, at least, but we wouldn’t sign him even if he’s involved against Villa. Ola Aina, Dan Ndoye and Murillo are doubts too, with Murillo looking likeliest to play as it stands.

Jurriën Timber: Timber was meant to be back from a groin injury by now but his rehabilitation is taking longer than expected – and while Mikel Arteta hasn’t given a clear-cut indication one way or the other, his absence against Atlético Madrid and the tone of Arteta’s replies suggests that we’ve probably got another week or two to wait. We may learn more on Friday, with the Gunners boss having been more helpful than usual of late.

Benjamin Šeško: The Slovenian forward is yellow-flagged on the FPL app but we suspect that he’ll be fine to face an out-of-sorts Sunderland this weekend. Michael Carrick said that he picked up a “bang on the shin” when he smacked into the advertising hoardings against Liverpool, but it doesn’t sound like a significant issue. A very minor doubt only, and an intriguing differential option.

Chelsea & Spurs stars among other fitness worries this weekend

Robert Sánchez, Pedro Neto, Alejandro Garnacho & Reece James: It’s a brave man who picks Chelsea players these days, but if you must – Sánchez is reportedly in the concussion protocol after his clash of heads with Gibbs-White, making him a big doubt for the weekend, while Neto and Garnacho missed out on Monday due to knocks picked up in training. Both are likely to be involved. James made the bench against Forest and could play this weekend.

Dominic Solanke & Guglielmo Vicario: Solanke looks set to sit out again with a hamstring injury which could potentially end his season – it’s considered highly improbable that he’s involved against Leeds. Vicario, who continues his prolonged recovery from hernia surgery, is also a big doubt, with no clear-cut updates available as yet.

Lewis Miley: A budget-friendly midfield option for many managers earlier this season, Miley has now been shut down until the summer after breaking his leg in training. A deeply unfortunate turn of events, but he’ll be back for next season apparently.

Rodri, Joško Gvardiol & Rúben Dias: Manchester City’s injured trio are “getting better,” according to Pep Guardiola, and could return to training this week - Rodri seems like the only one who might play this weekend, but City have made it clear that they won’t rush him back. We wouldn’t be shocked if all three sat out, but they could and should play again before the end of the season.

Gabriel Gudmundsson: We don’t expect the left-back to return this weekend to face Spurs and he’s facing a race against time to play again this season due to a hamstring issue with Daniel Farke has admitted is “serious.” The rest of Leeds’ appealingly cheap back line are fine, as far as we know.
