Premier League club Liverpool has confirmed an inflationary increase of 3% to general admission tickets for next season, but has agreed to a price freeze for the 2027-28 campaign.
The announcement follows the news in March whereby the club confirmed a ticket pricing plan which saw general admission ticket price increases limited to inflation for three seasons, while continuing the freeze on junior and local tickets at £9 (€10/$12).
Liverpool also announced the expansion of the young adult category to include supporters up to the age of 24, and has now revealed the implementation of a young adults section with the Anfield Road Stand.
The 3% increase for general admission tickets was agreed following further dialogue with the Supporters Board.
Liverpool added that it will continue to work with the Supporters Board to seek longer-term alternative solutions across the game, as well as exploring commercial ideas, to avoid future ticket price increases.
The club stated: “LFC believes that, without wider progress on alternative solutions, future inflationary increases may still be required, including season 2028-29, and will continue to engage with its supporters.
“Both the club and the Supporters Board are committed to exploring a longer-term solution that works in the interests of all.
“The club also remains committed to managing its cost challenges responsibly, giving advance notice to supporters and certainty to its own financial planning to remain competitive at the highest levels of football.”
