Filipe Luis spent one season at Chelsea as a player, and he could return to the club as manager one day.
Luis is now a head coach, doing a phenomenal job at Flamengo before his exit, and has already been linked with the Chelsea post.
However, while the Blues are currently looking for a new manager, this summer may come too soon for the 40-year-old.
Would you take Filipe Luis as manager with Thiago Silva as assistant?🤔

Filipe Luis can’t manage Chelsea without UEFA Pro Licence
Luis is still quite an inexperienced manager and does not actually possess the necessary qualifications to coach Chelsea.
As per A Critica, Luis does not have a UEFA Pro Licence, which is needed to manage teams in Europe.
The same outlet claims that the Brazilian is working on getting it as soon as possible, but with Chelsea looking to make an appointment at the end of the season, it is unlikely that he will be able to get it quickly enough.
Even if Luis does, you would expect the likes of Andoni Iraola and Xabi Alonso to be above him on Chelsea’s shortlist. Both men have already managed in Europe, with the former gaining Premier League experience at Bournemouth.
It has already been claimed that Alonso is destined to join Chelsea ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

What Filipe Luis said about Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea
Like many, Luis will not be impressed with what he has seen from this current Chelsea team, who are now at risk of missing out on European football.
He was a huge fan of Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea after playing them in the Club World Cup.
When Luis discussed Maresca’s Chelsea on John Obi Mikel’s podcast last year, he said: “I believe in Chelsea because of the way I see Maresca playing and his style. When he thinks about football, it’s really difficult to play against Chelsea. For every manager, if you’re going to play Chelsea, you have to prepare for this game really well; otherwise, you’re not going to touch the ball.”
If Luis does become Chelsea manager one day, that is the kind of team he has to try and create. It was by far the most successful under BlueCo.
Agreeing to part ways with the Italian is arguably the biggest mistake these owners have made since taking over.
