“The Pick Is In”, a new NFL documentary about the 2026 NFL Draft, debuted on Sunday via ESPN. That documentary includes a hilarious clip of Eagles general manager Howie Roseman attempting to contact Lemon on draft night.
“Get Makai Lemon on the phone. Great job guys, great teamwork right there,” Roseman said to Philadelphia's war room after submitting the pick. “Get [Lemon] on the phone, just in case he's doing something.”
Meanwhile, footage from the documentary showed that Lemon was already on the phone with Steelers general manager Omar Khan.

“Can we not get him on the phone?” Roseman asked his staff with three minutes and 45 seconds left on the clock. “Tell him we're trying to get him. Call him.”
Philadelphia eventually put in a call to one of Lemon's agents, Ian Grutman of GSE Worldwide. They told him that they were looking to speak with Lemon.
Ultimately, the Eagles did end up getting in touch with Lemon just before the pick was announced on the broadcast. It was a close call, but thankfully everything work out okay for Philly.
It will be exciting to see if Lemon becomes a big part of Philadelphia's offense during the 2026 season. Especially if the Eagles actually trade away A.J. Brown.
