Chelsea predicted XI vs Liverpool as Alejandro Garnacho and Pedro Neto‘unlikely’

Calum McFarlane has some decisions to make ahead of Chelsea’s trip to Anfield to face Liverpool this weekend, with Robert Sanchez, Alejandro Garnacho and Pedro Neto set to miss out on the Premier League clash.

Chelsea’s Premier League campaign has reached a critical juncture as they sit in ninth place, fighting to rescue a season that is flirting with no European football.

Despite the league struggle, there is still everything to play for; an FA Cup final showdown against Manchester City offers a final chance for silverware.

However, up next in the Premier League is a difficult trip to Anfield to go up against a Liverpool side who have had their own struggles, but injuries are threatening to make things even harder for the Blues.

Chelsea predicted XI vs Liverpool

Robert Sanchez has been ruled out after his clash with Morgan Gibbs-White, which opens the door for Filip Jorgensen to stake a claim.

Meanwhile, Marc Cucurella and Malo Gusto will take up positions at left-back and right-back, as the two best options currently at the club.

At the heart of the defence, Levi Colwill is back in full training and could start.

But, we believe that Jorrel Hato will be rewarded for his standout performances in recent weeks, partnering Trevoh Chalobah at centre-back.

Are there any changes you would make to the Chelsea XI?

Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho are both 'unlikely' to feature 😬

In midfield, Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo will hold things down against a Liverpool side that like to flood the middle of the park. Though, it’s safe to say neither player has been at their best of late.

Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer will be forced to play in positions they may not like against the Reds, on either flank. Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho are ‘unlikely’ to feature due to knocks, while Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian remain sidelined for Chelsea.

Enzo Fernandez has impressed in his central role and will resume things.

Up top, Chelsea have little choice but to deploy a struggling Liam Delap, offering a bit of presence against Virgil van Dijk at the heart of Liverpool’s defence. Marc Guiu could be considered.
