Report: Shaw set to depart Man City

Bunny Shaw’s time at Manchester City appears to be at its end.

[BBC Sport’s Emma Sanders reports](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/c142jm21kk5o) the 29-year-old Jamaica striker’s contract talks with the Women’s Super League champions have broken down and a summer exit looks likely.

Shaw is in the midst of her sixth season with City following a move from Bordeaux in 2021. The Tennessee product has appeared in 21 games this season, scoring 19 goals to run away in the Golden Boot race. Her closest competition is Aston Villa’s Kirsty Hanson with 12. It will be Shaw’s third straight season in which she led the league in scoring.

During her time at City, Shaw has also won the 2022 FA Cup. In 92 Super League appearances, Shaw has 81 goals.

Sanders notes that Chelsea will be among the teams interested in Shaw’s services this summer.

A native of Spanish Town, Shaw has been capped 48 times by the Reggae Girlz and has 66 international goals.

After having clinched the league title on Wednesday, City returns to action on Sunday with an FA Cup semifinal against Chelsea.
