Fernando Mendoza Goes Viral After Taking Snaps At Raiders Practice

Mendoza is already hard at work with the Las Vegas Raiders in an attempt to be their new franchise quarterback. The 22-year-old already has high expectations entering the league, even if he doesn’t start this year. With the Raiders signing Kirk Cousins in the off-season, there is some expectations that the team is taking the Green Bay Packers approach to quarterbacks, as in letting the rookie watch and learn for a few years. Regardless, Mendoza’s first practice went viral:

Mendoza was under center, something he didn’t do too much while at Indiana. Fans were quick to react to the video:

Looks like he’s pretty comfortable so far. The next real test will come when he gets the D-line rushing at him.

Sure to pass the ball. Playing under center also involves keeping the ball and making a pass. He is not doing that…yet. It’s not easy and takes awhile to learn

ok so i dont know to much about this guy but him looking down to adjust the ball every time can not be a good thing when he should be looking down field

Fernando Mendoza (#15), the Raiders’ No. 1 overall pick and 2025 Heisman winner, looks smooth taking under-center snaps here—something he rarely did in college. Clean footwork on drops, quick setup, strong arm on throws, and good athleticism in drills. Solid early signs of his pro transition at rookie minicamp.
