Photos released of the two at a hotel in Arizona together in early April has created a fallout that not many could have predicted coming.

The fallout has even reached the name of her child, who is also named Michael. It has been widely speculated that she named her son after Mike Vrabel.

Who Did Dianna Russini Name Her Son After?

In the midst of a flurry of speculation about Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini, TMZ Sports has learned that the NFL reporter did not name her first child after the coach:

Cyber sleuths have been looking into both Vrabel and Russini ever since their cozy resort picsdropped last month … and it didn’t take long for them to highlight the fact that Russini’s son and Vrabel share the same moniker.

The chatter intensified after we posted a story about the two enjoying a private trip on the water in June 2021 … weeks before she welcomed her child with her husband,Kevin Goldschmidt.

So, did Russini really get name inspiration from the player-turned-coach?? Sources familiar with the situation say the kid WAS named after a specific Michael … just not Vrabel.

We’re told theex-Athletic insider picked the name early in her pregnancy to honor her older brother, Michael Russini. The kid’s middle name also pays tribute to another family member.

Our source noted Russini named both of her kids after family members — her second son shares the same as her grandfather.

How Did Mike Vrabel And Dianna Russini Get To This Point?

There was a time not too long ago when New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel was enjoying a special kind of celebrity status. It is widely acknowledged that Vrabel was one of only eight coaches in NFL history to lead his team to the Super Bowl in his first year as head coach. It is no secret that the former linebacker (he spent eight seasons with the Patriots) is known for his no-nonsense demeanor, and has even donned football pads to get into a game with his players-all part of the tough persona that has gained him fans.

Despite the Patriots losing the Super Bowl, many still believed that Vrabel was in a prime position to restore the franchise to the upper echelon of the NFL, where it has lived for the better part of the 21st century. Recently, however, Vrabel’s reputation has shifted as he has become a fixture on gossip columns. It was published on April 7 in the New York Post that he was seen together with NFL reporter Dianna Russini at an Arizona resort. Vrabel and Russini, both married to other individuals, initially denied any personal involvement outside their professional roles.

That claim has proved to be a lie and the personal life of these two has made front page headlines over and over again. While Vrabel still remains the head coach of the Patriots, many wonder whether or not the outside noise will force him to step down, or allow him to work in the NFL at all.

Russini will likely never be trusted to be an NFL analyst again as the risk of bringing her on would create a storm of backlash from the public.
