Liverpool hero John Aldridge believes Harry Kane would be a “great fit” for Liverpool as he discussed the striker’s chances of moving to Anfield.
Kane was once again on the scoresheet for Bayern Munich as he continues his incredible season, having notched up his 55th goal in just 48 appearances against Paris Saint-Germain.
Although it wasn’t enough to send the Bundesliga giant to the Champions League final, Kane has only seen his reputation soar even further since making the move to Germany, and with Liverpool having struggled this season, Aldridge feels he could be the answer to some of Arne Slot’s problems.

The former Anfield striker has been hugely impressed by the England captain, and even at 32, he feels he still has plenty to offer.
“Harry Kane is brilliant,” Aldridge told BettingLounge. “I really watched him against PSG, what a game that was.
“He's become a fantastic player now. Okay, maybe you could say he's dropped in pace, but when I played I was nearly 40. He will be playing at 40.
“Pace is in your head sometimes, especially for a striker. The way he links up, the way he plays, he's strong, he knows how to win a foul. His penalties are tremendous. He scores goals left, right and center.

“He's brilliant. He's absolutely brilliant. Does he get a shout for the Ballon d'Or? Yeah, why not?”
Discussing the potential for him to move to Anfield, Aldridge added: “Harry Kane at Liverpool? He'd be a great fit. He'd be brilliant for us. It’s of course unlikely but he'd be amazing for us.”
It’s not the first time that a move to Liverpool has been suggested for Kane. In fact, just last year, there were suggestions that a switch to Anfield could have been on the horizon, although those rumors have now died down.

In any case, it appears Liverpool has no plans to sign a new striker this summer, even with Hugo Ekitike set to miss the start of next season.
The 23-year-old faces a long lay-off after rupturing his Achilles tendon against PSG in the Champions League quarter-finals but, despite Slot suggesting the Reds’ transfer plans could be influenced by Ekitike’s absence, The Telegraph claims that Liverpool will not pursue a replacement for him.
Liverpool.com says: To be fair, Kane does have all the attributes that Liverpool would love in a striker. His pace might not be there now, but he links up play well, works hard away from goal, and of course, he scores bucket loads of goals.

At 32, and soon to turn 33, he’s just not the sort of player the Reds would look to sign. Not to mention he wouldn’t come cheaply, either in transfer fee or wages.
