The Atlanta Falcons heard constant trade chatter involving Kyle Pitts, including during the NFL Draft. Did the situation come to a head? Looks like Pitts won't head elsewhere anytime soon and will play for Kevin Stefanski.
Falcons insider for The Athletic Josh Kendall revealed both the franchise and tight end reached a new agreement Thursday. Kendall added how much Pitts will earn following some rumors.
“He'll make $15 million this year, which will be his sixth in Atlanta,” Kendall posted on the social media website X, formerly Twitter.
This move puts NFL Trade Deadline plus NFL Free Agency ideas involving Pitts to a halt. Especially after overheard rumors of the front office listening to trade offers for the embattled tight end. Atlanta even walked into a draft class loaded at the tight end spot, fueling wonder that the incoming head coach Stefanski would want his own guy.

Pitts entered the league as a rare top five draft pick for his position group. He became lauded for his uncanny 4.3 time in the 40-yard dash out of Florida, which boosted his draft stock.
The former Gator exploded out the gate in his rookie season, surpassing the 1,000-yard mark and earning a Pro Bowl bid. Pitts struggled to finish a full season after that campaign, however, and never scaled 54 receptions or 668 yards.
The NFC South franchise is helping reward him for a stellar 2025. Pitts caught a career-best 88 receptions with five touchdowns while piling 928 yards (second most for his career). He received second-team All-Pro honors for his contributions. Now he becomes the TE1 for the former Cleveland Browns head coach.
