Six-year veteran wide receiver Jauan Jennings signed a new contract with the Minnesota Vikings. Jennings, a former seventh-round pick, spent the entirety of his career with the San Francisco 49ers.

The 2025 season was another productive one for Jauan Jennings. Starring as one of the few somewhat-healthy receiving options on a banged-up 49ers team, the Tennessee product finished the season with 55 receptions for 643 yards and nine touchdowns on 90 targets. San Francisco made the playoffs despite the extensive injuries and even won a playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, their season came to a fast end in a blowout loss to the eventual Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
Jauan Jennings originally entered the league as a seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Selected by the San Francisco 49ers, the Tennessee product didn’t play a single game as a rookie. However, he finally made his debut in 2021 and carved out a role as a depth option in the passing attack. Appearing in 16 games, Jennings finished the year with 24 receptions for 282 yards and five touchdowns.
The wide receiver put up similar numbers in his next two seasons before finally breaking out in 2024. Taking over as a starter, the former seventh-round pick stepped up in a big way, finishing the season with 77 receptions for 975 yards and six touchdowns on 113 targets. Unfortunately, this was a lost season for the 49ers, as the team went 6-11 just one year after making it to the Super Bowl.
Since signing his rookie contract, Jauan Jennings has played in 75 games while making 32 starts. While on the field, the Tennessee product has recorded 210 receptions for 2,581 yards and 22 touchdowns on 330 targets. He has played in one Super Bowl, but he and the 49ers lost to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in an overtime thriller.
