**[Manchester City](https://sportwitness.co.uk/manchester-city/) are showing interest in Lille star Matias Fernandez Pardo following his impressive season in Ligue 1.**
[Tuttomercatoweb report that Manchester City](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-a/inter-e-manchester-city-si-iscrivono-alla-corsa-per-fernandez-pardo-del-lille-2231530) could do battle with Inter Milan for the 21-year-old in the summer transfer window.
**Manchester City interest**
----------------------------
Matias Fernandez Pard has had the best year of his career to date. He’s been named in Ligue 1’s Team of the Season thanks to eight goals and five assists and was also a regular in the Europa League.
The 21-year-old is also being seriously considered by Spain, who want to get him ahead of other nations.
Cesc Fabregas’ Como are interested in him and have been eyeing a deal for some time. He’s seen as perfect for Fabregas’ fluid style thanks to his versatility playing as a winger, false nine or even a second striker.
But he has also caught the eye of bigger clubs. Manchester City, ‘always keen on talent’, have already put him in their sights. Inter Milan are also aware of him as they look to bolster following their title success.
There’s no mention of either of those three sides doing anything but watching the player’s performances at this moment in time.
**€30m valuation**
------------------
There is also no mention of an asking price. Matias Fernandez Pardo cost Lille €11.5m in 2024 but is currently rated at €30m. His current deal runs until 2029 also, so the French side are under no pressure on that front either.
€30m would be of little issue to Manchester City, of course. That’s a fee they could spend without worrying too much. And they could be on the hunt for a forward this summer if the likes of Omar Marmoush were to depart.
There’s also Jack Grealish to consider. If he doesn’t return as expected Fernandez Pardo could be an ideal addition. For now, it appears he’s just a name on the list to keep an eye on.
