Another source has claimed that AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign David Alaba on a free transfer when he leaves Real Madrid.
It has been well documented over the past 24 hours that the agent Pini Zahavi met with the Milan management, with whom he not only spoke about Robert Lewandowski but also about the complicated future of Christopher Nkunku.
Zahavi offers Alaba
However, as Corriere dello Sport report, the visit was useful for gathering further information on the situation regarding David Alaba. The Austrian defender – currently playing for Real Madrid – has a contract which expires at the end of next month.
Alaba made 431 appearances for Bayern Munich before moving to Spain, and has played 130 times for Real Madrid, With the Bavarians and Los Blancos he won 39 trophies, including four Champions League titles, equally shared.
Zahavi is offering him to several European clubs, including Milan and Juventus. The Austrian feels the need for a change of scenery having made only 14 appearances in all competitions for Real Madrid this season, and only nine in the league.
His usage has been extremely limited, primarily due to various physical problems (his calf has hampered him for several periods during the season) and fierce competition. In addition to the idea of a move to Italy, Alaba is also popular elsewhere too.
The MLS is an option, where he could manage his physical condition more calmly, but he also has admirers in Saudi Arabia who can offer big money. In his home country, RB Salzburg are reportedly keen to give him the role of mentor for the many young players in their orbit.
