NFL free agent Tyreek Hill was in court on Thursday as influencer and model Sophie Hall testified against him in a civil trial after claiming that she broke her leg when meeting with the wide receiver in 2023.
Hill is now a free agent after being released by the Miami Dolphins, and he suffered a significant injury in his final season with the organization. The former Super Bowl champion has since been linked to several teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs, where he earned a championship ring.
However, Hill's offseason has clashed with a civil case, as Hall is suing the free-agent receiver. She claims that she broke her leg at his Southwest Ranches estate in 2023, while practicing football in the backyard.

It’s been claimed that they met after Hall enrolled her son in Hill's football camp, and they allegedly began speaking frequently. Hall claimed she broke her leg during a backyard drill after Hill became humiliated and shoved her.
Hall’s lawyer, Jonathan Gdanski, said during opening statements in Fort Lauderdale on Thursday afternoon that the case "is about an aggressive act," according to Local10. "What happened was Sophie Hall, this woman, moved him back. They giggled, they laughed."
Gdanski claimed that Hill felt humiliated after being moved back during a football lesson, and "became enraged and forcefully and purposefully shoved Ms. Hall, severely fracturing her leg." Hall said she was left in "excruciating pain," and is suing for over $50,000 under claims of battery, assault, and negligence.

Images of X-rays were also shown during opening statements, and the testimony will continue on Friday. Hall also claimed that the incident forced her to undergo reconstructive surgery and conduct weekly physical therapy.
Hill and his team have hit back, claiming that she willingly participated in the drill and therefore assumed risk. Hill's lawyer, Rob Horwitz, also claimed that Hall fell over a dog.
Further evidence has also been claimed against Hall's case, after she gave a deposition in 2024 and admitted she stayed with Hill for several days and had sex with the NFL player. Hill, 5-foot-10, admitted that he wanted to sleep with Hall, 6-foot-1, as he has a fetish for tall women.

Hall, who has millions of followers on social media, said she was given a piggyback ride to Hill's bedroom after the incident and stayed with him for several days. Hall admitted they had sex on more than one occasion, but didn't seek treatment until days later.
"I wanted comfort, I felt very vulnerable in that moment. I was injured," Hall explained.
During questioning in 2024, Hall also appeared to push back on claims that Hill intentionally injured her.

"That’s not the words I used. I said I got injured while playing," she said. "I just said that I was trying to guard him and that’s how I got hurt."
