Many Cleveland Browns fans have not seen a ton of playoff action with their NFL team, but they have seen a lot of disappointment with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA playoffs over the last four seasons. Cleveland lost Game 2 over the Detroit Pistons by a final score of 107-97. With the loss for the Cavaliers on the road, they are down 0-2 in the series.

The main reason why Cleveland is down 0-2 is because of James Harden. Harden was acquired at the trade deadline for Darius Garland on the Los Angeles Clippers. Well, many Browns, NFL, and other NBA fans have labeled him as a choke artist in the playoffs. Harden only scored 10 points and shot 23.7% from the field. He also committed four turnovers. Harden is a turnover machine with the game on the line.

Many Browns/Cavaliers fans no doubt are seeing firsthand now why Harden has been a total choke artist in the playoffs throughout his NBA career. This is what some of the Cleveland fans had to say about Harden’s bad playoff performances:
Can we all agree at this point that James Harden is the biggest choke in playoff history?

Darius Garland would have been better for the Cavs than James Harden this series.
— Brandon Little (@BrandonLittleBL) May 8, 2026
Yeah I’m good with no James Harden next year. Miserable.

James Harden is actually awful

My yearly tweet that James harden is a choke artist, everyone who says the Sixers need him are idiots

Game 3 of this series will be on Saturday afternoon back in Cleveland. If they lose Game 3 against the Detroit, the series is all but over. Many Browns fans will no doubt blame Harden for this series loss potentially, but there are deeper problems with the Cavaliers. Many Cleveland fans will not want playoff choke artist Harden back next season and will want a whole roster reset as well.
