Moyes hopes to secure European football for the Everton supporters

David Moyes has reflected on his side's performance so far this season as with three games to go the Blues still have an outside chance of European football in what has been a transitional season for the club.

Everton currently sit tenth in the Premier League but in recent weeks have dropped crucial points which would have put them in a strong position to finish in Europe.

Despite this the Scotsman is pleased with his side over the campaign and has stated where his side can try and improve.

What does Moyes want from his players?

"I want us to play well and I think we have done over the season. I think we've been a progressive team, trying to play better football, trying to stamp something down which suits us as a team.

"We're trying to improve on the ball and be more exciting with the football we play. I want us to keep getting better at all those things. Winning has been the biggest thing for me, it always has been. So, winning the final the last three games would be the ideal solution."

Sunday's opponents Crystal Palace have reached their first ever European final following a 5-2 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk. Moyes is still dreaming that he can achieve European football for the Blues.

Why is European football so important for Everton?

"It's very hard to put in words on what it feels like and I've sort of been dreaming all year I can get it for the Everton supporters.

"That's what I really want to do because I think we finished last season at Goodison on a high and I mean by that we avoided relegation. We finished the season well, we moved into the new stadium, for most of the season we've probably been talking positively about it.

*"I want to keep the momentum, the progress going because we need to do it again next year. We need to look to continue to improve on what we've got."*
