Former Florida CB Devin Moore signs rookie deal with Dallas Cowboys

New Dallas and former Florida cornerback Devin Moore has signed his rookie contract with the Cowboys, the team announced.

According to Spotrac, Moore's projected total contract value for being selected No. 114 overall in the fourth round is $5.43 million, including an average annual value of $1.36 million and a $1.12 million signing bonus.

The 6-foot-3 1/4, 198-pound Moore is a native of Naples, Fla., who enrolled at Florida as a 247Sports four-star prospect from the 2022 recruiting class.

Over four seasons with the Gators, Moore recorded 64 tackles, five interceptions and 14 defended passes in 30 appearances and 17 starts. According to Pro Football Focus, quarterbacks completed 35-of-66 passes (53 percent) when targeting Moore in coverage.

During his 11-game, career-best 2025 campaign, Moore posted single-season highs of 35 total tackles including two for loss, one sack, six defended passes and one forced fumble, while producing two interceptions for a second consecutive year. Quarterbacks completed 17-of-30 (56.7 percent) passes targeting Moore in coverage.

The 2025 season marked Moore's first in which he appeared in double-digit games, as he navigated year-ending shoulder injuries in 2022 and 2024, while a back injury and a concussion knocked him out of five games in 2023.

And immediately following his senior season, Moore underwent groin surgery this past December, which prevented him from participating in the Panini Senior Bowl in January and limited his ability to perform at the NFL Combine. He clocked a 4.5-second 40-yard dash (46th percentile among NFL Combine cornerbacks since 1999) at the event while continuing to recover from the injury, but did not take part in other athletic testing or positional drills until Florida's March pro day.

Moore's injury history is likely what caused him to slide into the third day of the NFL Draft.

"I had some injuries in college," Moore told DallasCowboys.com after arriving in Dallas for rookie minicamp last week. "I feel like that had me very overlooked and slept on. The size, the speed, ability to bend and tackle, the length, I feel like I had been overlooked."

DaRon Bland has one of Dallas' outside cornerback positions locked down after signing a four-year, $92 million contract extension with the franchise in August.

This leaves Moore and 2025 third-round draft pick Shavon Revel Jr. looking to compete with free-agent signee Cobie Durant on the opposite side. Durant only signed a one-year, $4 million deal with the Cowboys, but he is coming off a three-interception season with the Los Angeles Rams, making it likely he will enter the 2026 season as a starter.

That is, unless Durant takes over as Dallas' nickel cornerback, a position he primarily played earlier in his NFL career, and the Cowboys' first-round selection in the draft, Caleb Downs, plays safety rather than slot corner. Such a lineup would offer Moore a chance to fight for a first-team role.

Moore was the second member of Florida's 2026 NFL Draft class to sign with their club, following Green Bay Packers kicker Trey Smack.
