Liverpool will lose Andy Robertson in the summer, leaving them short at left-back. Tsimikas, however, will return from his loan spell at Roma, and Slot has hinted at the role he will play.
When speaking about the summer and another squad transition, Slot said: “Indeed it will be another little transition, probably not as drastic as it was last summer.
“But we have to change a bit of personnel because of the two players who are leaving.

“One of them will probably be replaced with Kostas Tsimikas, because he’s coming back from loan.”
While it still leaves the door ajar for that to change, Slot namechecked Tsimikas without being prompted, signalling the club’s intention of having the Greek international act as Milos Kerkez‘s backup.
Tsimikas reportedly wants to stay at Liverpool and compete for a spot, which would ensure the club do not need to source a left-back with their priorities clearly elsewhere this summer.

It was on this day in 1939 that Liverpool signed a future legend, with Bob Paisley arriving from Bishop Auckland.
His signing-on fee was only £10 and he earned £5 per week. That’s equivalent to £575 and £287, respectively in 2026. Talk about a bargain!
