Jeremiyah Love signs fully guaranteed, 4-year rookie contract with Cardinals

Jeremiyah Love, Arizona’s No. 3 overall draft choice, signed his four-year rookie contract with the team on Friday, the Cardinals announced.

As with all first-round rookie contracts, the former Notre Dame running back’s deal is fully guaranteed with a team option for a fifth season.

Love’s deal is worth $53 million, which is the largest in total value for a running back and seventh in average annual value ($13.25 million) among current backs.

His signing comes after three of his fellow Arizona draft choices signed on the dotted line Thursday.

Love was on the field out at Cardinals rookie minicamp shortly after signing.

Love is coming off consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons at Notre Dame with over 500 receiving yards and 45 catches for three touchdowns over his final two seasons.

He had 1,372 yards and 18 touchdowns (both career highs) in 2025, outdoing the previous season’s numbers in four fewer games. He was a unanimous All-American named the Doak Walker Award winner (nation’s best running back) after the standout season and finished third in Heisman Trophy voting.

Love opened as the betting favorite to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
