The New England Patriots are just a few months removed from playing in Super Bowl 60. With Drake Maye and Mike Vrabel leading the charge, New England appeared to have an extremely bright future with a new head coach and quarterback duo.
However, over the last month Vrabel’s affair with Dianna Russini has gone public and created a unimaginable amount of off-the-field distractions. Video after video and photo after photo have been leaked to the public and it is seemingly all fans can talk about when the Patriots come up.
Now, the Patriots have reportedly made their decision on Vrabel’s future.

Patriots Decide On Mike Vrabel’s Future
Some Patriots fans believe that Vrabel will be parting ways with the team at some point in the off-season. The amount of damage that has been done when it comes to the court of public opinion is overwhelming. On Friday, insider Albert Breer put an end to those rumors. In his statement, he made it clear that New England will not be moving on from Vrabel at this time:
“I would say at this point, it’s definitely not in their plans to move on from Mike Vrabel,”Albert Breer said during an appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub on Friday.“I think if you look at the actions of Kraft Sports, I think it has been a month now since the photos came out.
“Almost everything has been done in an effort to protect his employment and to protect his team’s image. If it’s just continued drips and drabs that kind of continue to fill in the blanks of what we already know, then I think the Patriots just ride it out.”

A number of Patriots players have expressed their support for Vrabel. At the moment, the franchise is committed to a future with Vrabel and Maye at the helm. However, it does make one wonder that if New England wasn’t coming off a Super Bowl appearance would the team be so supportive?
The NFL is all about winning. Often times legal issues and personal disputes are overlooked if they are an asset to the football team (see Tyreek Hill).
If New England starts losing, it will be interesting to see if the team is willing to stick by his side.
