Bucs rookie Keionte Scott.
Well, perhaps this is why Bucs rookie cornerback Keionte Scott fell in the draft where the Bucs could grab in him Round 4.
Scott met media today with a cast on his left hand/wrist.
Scott explained it was a wrist injury that affected him last season at the University of Miami and he had surgery prior to the NFL Scouting Combine, which was in late February.
“So [I] just got the plate out of it now, so now we’re on the better side of it. It’ll get better here and the cast will come off in 10 days,” Scott said.
Joe slumped hearing that. Sure, Scott should be fine, but this doesn’t sound like it was a minor procedure.
Scott is not alone on the rookie minicamp disabled list.
Bucs fifth-round pick defensive tackle DeMonte Capehart has a bum wrist too, Bowles said. “He can do some things, but we want to get it fully healed up.”
