NFL fans will overlook just about anything if you show up on Sundays, but the internet isn’t letting Brock Bowers off the hook. The Las Vegas Raiders tight end is hanging onto his last few hairs, and fans are hanging onto every chance to roast him for it.
Bowers became the topic of conversation on Friday night after footage from Raiders training sessions focused more on his appearance rather than his production or the excitement of watching No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza in action.
The 23-year-old was shown catching passes in Raiders training gear while rocking a look that some NFL fans compared to Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z.

NFL fans also observed furniture from the NFL Draft ending up in a Pittsburgh sofa store for charity.

Bowers ran a short crossing route and hauled in a pass from Kirk Cousins, with Michael Mayer waiting his turn. Even third-stringer Aidan O’Connell got some reps in, tossing one to rookie Shedrick Jackson.
Once Bowers took off his helmet, the jokes started. Fans gave him the same advice they once gave John Cena, Barron Trump, and Jalen Suggs, who already shaved it all off in March.
Fans told him to shave it off right now, while others joked he should book a flight to Turkey for a hair transplant before the season kicks off. “Bowers is 42,” one fan joked online.

Another added: "Hairline screams All-Pro & Hof." Others defended the Raiders star entirely and questioned why fans cared in the first place. "Who GAF about his hair," one user wrote. “Can he play football?”
Despite becoming the center of internet jokes, the Raiders tight end remains one of the top young players in football. Last season, Bowers put up 64 catches on 83 targets for 680 yards and seven touchdowns, all in just 12 games.
His seven scores were fifth among NFL tight ends, and quarterbacks posted a 113.5 passer rating when throwing his way, which was one of the best at the position. In just 29 career games, Bowers already has 176 catches, 1,874 yards, and 12 touchdowns.

The jokes about his hair aren't new either. Bowers previously addressed the situation himself during a July 2025 appearance on the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast, where he revealed the cause behind the issue.
Bowers said it all goes back to a team-bonding stunt in high school, when he and his Napa teammates bleached their hair yellow as sophomores. The bleach burned his scalp and, according to him, probably sped up the hairline issues.
No matter what fans say, Bowers is still with his high school sweetheart, Cameron Newell, and the Raiders aren’t about to stop feeding him the ball.
