Liverpool And Arsenal Now Know How Much Bradley Barcola Will Cost - But The Fee Will Give The Reds A Dilemma

Paris Saint-Germain would consider offloading Liverpool transfer target Bradley Barcola for €100m (£86.4m).

Writing on his personal website, CF Bayern Insider, journalist Christian Falk revealed PSG’s asking price:

“I made a few calls about Bradley Barcola, and I heard he’s not considered unsellable at PSG. However, you would have to come to the table with €100m [£86.4m].”

Both the Reds and Arsenal are said to be keen on signing Barcola to strengthen the left side of their attack.

Diomande would cost exactly the same amount

Liverpool don’t have a limitless transfer budget. After spending so much last year, there is not much room for manoeuvre, so the chances of the club splashing out €100m on two players is very unlikely.

However, Barcola’s reported valuation is precisely the same as RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, who is also high up the shortlist of targets for the summer transfer window.

Barcola and Diomande would be ideal additions, and the prospect of both playing either side of Alexander Isak is mouthwatering. However, in reality, sporting director Richard Hughes and head coach Arne Slot would have to pick one of them.

Do Liverpool have any cheaper alternatives?

Reports have linked the club with AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, who could be on the market for £60m this summer. The Portuguese international can be frightening to face at his best, but he is very inconsistent.

Falk, himself, has also mentioned that the Reds are fans of Hoffenheim’s Bazoumana Toure. Like Diomande, he is an Ivorian international in the early stages of his career, but he could be available for around €40m (£35m).

Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche has been suggested as a target too, but the Frenchman is unlikely to be that much cheaper than his fellow countryman Barcola.
