Saints Udfa Brock Rechsteiner opens up about WWE family Scott Steiner, Bron Breakker

With the New Orleans Saints coming off the 2026 NFL Draft, the team has made some picks that hopefully could end up being future building blocks for the franchise. When it comes to the Saints' prospects, there is one that has an interesting background, as it deals with undrafted free agent Brock Rechsteiner.

For professional wrestling fans, that last name might ring a bell, as it's the same as Scott Rechsteiner, better known as Scott Steiner in the WWE and other companies. The New Orleans receiver is the son and also the nephew of fellow wrestler Rick Rechsteiner, whose son is current WWE star Bron Breakker, or Bronson Rechsteiner.

The Jacksonville State receiver would speak on coming from that background, how his father has inspired him, and even wanting to be in the wrestling business after his football career.

“I always liked watching him growing up. I always love going back, watching his old promos, his old wrestling videos,” Rechsteiner said, via Sharief Ishaq.

“It really inspired me when he got inducted to Hall of Fame back in Dallas, that inspired me to once I'm done playing football, I want to pursue football as long as I can, play as long as I can, but once I'm done, I'll get into wrestling too,” Rechsteiner continued.

Saints' Brock Rechsteiner on relationship with Bron Breakker

While his father and uncle have cemented their legacy as wrestling icons, Bron Breakker is looking to be another huge star in the family for the WWE, as he's one of the company's top young talents. Rechsteiner would reveal that Breakker was the one to give him the idea of doing professional wrestling after football.

“I work out with him all the time back home and go fishing with him a lot, because he moved back to Georgia, and he's really convinced me to, once I'm done playing football, playing football as long as I can, get in the wrestling business,” Rechsteiner said.

It remains to be seen what Rechsteiner's wrestling career looks like in the future, as his main goal is to show out for the Saints.
