The Buffalo Bills drafted former Ole Miss and Ohio State cornerback Davison Igbinosun 62nd overall in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Igbinosun had a solid four-year college career (including the first year with the Rebels and the final three with the Buckeyes), totaling 194 tackles, four TFLs, four interceptions, and 27 pass breakups across 56 games and 53 starts. He had a strong senior campaign, recording two interceptions and eight pass breakups across 14 games, earning Second-Team All-Big Ten honors.
Igbinosun is a very physical and aggressive corner at 6-foot-2, 189 pounds who is not afraid to tackle or play the run. However, his aggressiveness can hinder his performance, as he has drawn 30 penalties in his career, including a career-high 16 in 2024. He will compete for the top backup and No. 3 cornerback roles as a rookie, with Dane Jackson and Tre’Davious White both free agents and Dorian Strong recovering from a significant neck injury that required surgery.

“Igbinosun is an iron man with 53 career starts, fitting the mold of a press corner with good size and long arms. He uses heavy hands and strength to reroute receivers, staying tight on most vertical routes. However, hip tightness, disjointed footwork and average route recognition make pattern-matching a chore in larger spaces or in off-man coverage. Improving his technique and getting him to trust it will be critical in reducing penalties. He is tough, strong and a willing run defender. Traits raise the ceiling to CB2 in a zone-heavy scheme, but his floor as an average backup might be a more likely outcome.”
He projects as an above-average backup.
