According to a report, Liverpool have identified Aston Villa star Emi Martinez as the man they want to bring to the club if Alisson departs.
Martinez, who has been described as 'the best goalkeeper in the world', was expected to leave the Midlands club last summer only for a deal to join Man Utd to collapse late on, as they signed Senne Lammens instead.
Liverpool already signed Giorgi Mamardashvili to be Alisson's long-term replacement, but he has struggled to adapt to the Premier League in his first campaign, and that has left club chiefs looking at potential other alternatives.
As a result, the club are looking closely at the situation involving Martinez as a potential option to come in, with hopes that they can bring in a ready-made replacement should the Brazilian opt to make the switch to Turin, and an acceptable offer arrive.
It's understood that Alisson is edging closer to a move to Juventus, but Liverpool are yet to make a final decision on his future, having already triggered the 12-month extension in his contract earlier this year.

Mamardashvili still has a long way to go, and there shouldn't be a fire sale of the Georgian because of one mediocre season. But if Liverpool aren't convinced that he's the man to step up and help them in their time of need, then a short-term option like Martinez could be perfect.
The Argentine will be at the World Cup and then all eyes will turn to his future, and Liverpool could well end up being his next destination.
