Cam Jordan remains a free agent and has said he's open to playing for another team besides the New Orleans Saints.

Could he land with his former coach in Chicago? It doesn't seem like it.

Bears defensive coordinator Dennis Allen — who coached New Orleans for two-plus seasons and oversaw the team's defense for even longer — said he's not expecting a reunion with the 36-year-old defensive end when asked Saturday about the possibility of Chicago signing Jordan.

"Cam’s going to be a frickin Hall of Fame player, is a Hall of Fame player," Allen told reporters in Chicago, according to ESPN's Courtney Cronin. "I don’t know that there’s been a ton of discussion about that. I think we feel pretty good about where we’re at and what we have and yet, you never know what opportunities might present themselves down the road."

Jordan recorded 82 of his 132 career sacks with Allen serving as either the Saints' defensive coordinator (late 2015-2021) or head coach (2022-2024).

But as Allen referenced, the Bears have a crowded edge rusher room led by Montez Sweat, Austin Booker, Dayo Odeyingbo and Shemar Turner. The Bears struggled to rush the passer last season, but it appears they're focused on improving internally. Allen told reporters that Chicago needs to focus more on its pass rush fundamentals after worrying too much about the scheme in 2025.
