Guler suffered a thigh injury during the match and was taken off in the second half against Deportivo Alaves. Guler has done recovery sessions at the Real Madrid training facilities, which gave false hope to fans.

Due to the season almost ending, Arda Guler's injury may have ended his season for Real Madrid.
After El Clásico tonight, Real Madrid will only have three more La Liga games left to play. Real Madrid will look to win the league but needs to win every game, including El Clásico against Barcelona, and hope Barcelona loses all of their remaining games.
Guler will likely be back in time for the World Cup, where he will play for Turkiye, which will play in the World Cup for the first time since 2002.
Guler joins Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal, Kylian Mbappe, Dani Ceballos, Federico Vaverde, and Rodrygo in the injury list for the match against Barcelona.
